Kurt_Woloch
Here are my times for this past week (November 5th through 11th)... Facebook (non-eligible): Chefville - 8 min. And that's all, folks! I fell ill on Tuesday and haven't fully recovered yet, so I wasn't in the mood for gaming at all from then on. Therefore there was just one more short session of Chefville in which I mainly tried to keep everything from spoiling. Other than that, I played with my RC car a bit, but that's a different category altogether (Vehicles instead of Computer Games).
+thegoldenband
My times for the week: Intellivision: Space Patrol - 6 min. Intellivision ECS: Flintstones' Keyboard Fun - 8 min. TI-99/4A: Alpiner - 20 min. Chisholm Trail - 5 min. Early Reading - 2 min. Mind Challengers - 2 min. Munchman - 4 min. Number Magic - 2 min. Yahtzee - 17 min. NES: Isolated Warrior - 8 min. Sega Master System: Blade Eagle 3-D - 2 min. Poseidon Wars 3-D - 3 min. R-Type - 2 min. Genesis: Columns III - 36 min. Greendog: The Beached Surfer Dude - 77 min. The Itchy & Scratchy Game - 197 min. Judge Dredd - 35 min. SNES: Super Bases Loaded 2 - 7 min. Sega Saturn: Ghen War - 7 min. Robotica - 15 min. PlayStation: Crossroad Crisis - 9 min. Frogger - 55 min. Starfighter Sanvein - 7 min. I was able to get a version of Itchy & Scratchy without the game-breaking bug in the next-to-last level, and ended up playing through all three difficulty levels. The highest one, Difficult, lives up to its name. I also beat Greendog without too much trouble, though a few spots were tricky and/or aggravating. Thoughts here and here, respectively. Otherwise most of my gameplay was testing new acquisitions and other games I hadn't gotten around to firing up yet. I'm glad to have a real Alpiner cart -- that game is so much more fun with the speech samples (which didn't really work properly in the emulator I used to have). I'll make it to the top of that fifth mountain yet, and the sixth too! I also edged my other half in a hard-fought game of Yahtzee, though the TI-99 was somewhat inconsistent in its responses to button presses...not sure what's up with that. Less pleasing was Judge Dredd, an action platformer/run-'n'-gun that has a confusing, cluttered visual style. I had a hard time figuring out how to accomplish some mission objectives, or even to navigate the stages. But that's a walk in the park compared to Frogger for PSX, which commits the horrendous sin of saddling the player with a zoomed-in, rotating perspective with which to navigate fairly tricky maps. I beat two stages, including the game's equivalent of 2-1 (which frustrated me for the better part of an hour) and 3-1...only to discover that I hadn't properly saved during my previous session, so I'll need to beat the first four stages all over again. Sigh.

TI-99 (52) After a four-week absence from the top, Kaboom regains the #1 spot, though the Atari is edged out on the system charts by a NES coalition of whips, swords, baseballs, and...uh...whatever that thing Rygar uses is called...I think he borrowed it from Kid Niki, maybe. Always nice to see a cornucopia of games and systems!

Kurt_Woloch
Here are my times for this past week (November 12th through 18th)... Arcade: Super Burger Time - 23 min. Wonderboy in Monster Land - 100 min. in 3 sessions Online (non-eligible): Global Player - 113 min. in 3 sessions Global Player Reloaded - 61 min. Total playing time: 297 minutes (42 minutes per day) I managed to play some eligible games this week again, though not ones I haven't played before... as far as I know, I've played both arcade games I played this week before. In "Wonderboy in Monster Land", I stopped playing when I reached a pretty hard level, though I tried to maximize my playing time by optimizing the drinks bought (which bring back your health be half a heart or a whole heart). The Continue option doesn't help too much either because it only lets you restart at the start of a level, with only one life. In "Super Burger time", I played only a few games anyway. Other than that, I replayed "Global Player" and "Global Player Reloaded", finishing both games, which takes longer for "Global Player" because there you have to start the game over if you fail at a level while at "Global Player Reloaded" there's a code for each level so you can restart at each level once you've reached it, so you don't have to repeat already completed levels. +thegoldenband
My times for the week: NES: Destination Earthstar - 9 min. KlashBall - 64 min. Raid on Bungeling Bay - 90 min. Game Boy: Yoshi - 3 min. Genesis: Columns III - 4 min. IMG International Tour Tennis - 3 min. SNES: Super Mario World - 5 min. Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island - 3 min. I actually put the majority of my game time this week into a few GameCube games, especially Super Monkey Ball 2. Most of the times above were me testing out hardware, but I did try my hand in earnest at a few NES games, partly to see if I could contribute to beating the last 40-ish games left in NA's "beat every NES game in a year" effort. After messing about with Destination Earthstar, I tried Klash Ball, but a glitch against the fourth team ended my efforts -- and none too soon, since despite my team's massive statistical superiority I was getting hosed. Then I ended up beating one round of each game mode (A & B) of Raid on Bungeling Bay, where Game B is the equivalent of starting at Round 3 in Game A. Since it just loops endlessly after that, with no ending or new maps, I'm calling this one beaten. Atarian7 is getting frustrated. I know you can do it! Maybe a Thanksgiving break will give the circuits time to rest?
