retrorussell
Video Pinball, Atari 2600 Great game, one of the 2600's absolute best games. I liked that even after the "tilt", you could still control the ball a bit; you just couldn't score anymore.

MagitekAngel
X-Kaliber 2097 - Developed by Fupac and Winds and Published in NA by Activision - 1994 A quirky action-platformer released later in the SNES lifespan, you play as some jackass with a sword and overthrow... tyranny... or something. The game was simply called "Sword Maniac" in Japan. Now for Y! Edited February 15, 2012 by MagitekAngel

icemanxp300
Zanac (ザナック?) is an arcade-style shoot 'em up video game designed by Compile and published in Japan by Pony Canyon and in North America by FCI. It was released for the MSX computer, the Family Computer Disk System, the Nintendo Entertainment System, and for the Virtual Console. It was reworked for the MSX2 computer as Zanac Ex and for the PlayStation as Zanac X Zanac. Players fly a lone starfighter, dubbed the AFX-6502 Zanac, through twelve levels; their goal is to destroy the System—a part-organic, part-mechanical entity bent on destroying Mankind. Drixxel
CRIME KILLER, PlayStation, 1998 The fast-moving, free roaming Chase HQ-inspired Crime Killer may have been largely overlooked but it's an entertaining bit of uncompromising vehicular law enforcement. Vehicle-based action was a genre well explored on PlayStation and Crime Killer ranks among the most exciting on offer alongside the likes of Ray Tracers and Felony 11-79. icemanxp300
Dragon Warrior, known as Dragon Quest (Japanese: ドラゴンクエスト?) in Japan, is the first role-playing video game (RPG) in the Dragon Quest media franchise. It was developed by Chunsoft for the Nintendo Entertainment System (known in Japan as the Family Computer or Famicom) and published by Enix in Japan in 1986. Torr
Hang-On for the Master System. Probably my favorite 8-Bit racer ever. Unfortunately, once you get really good it can get long and boring, but at least there's alwasy a chance for a new High Score.
retrorussell
INSECTOR X, Genesis. Released by Taito in 1989 and reworked for the Genesis in 1990. The Japanese version had cutesy graphics and the Genesis version had more realistic graphics and better music, as well as better weapons. I had this title and really thought it was one of the better shooters on the Genesis. Good detail on the boss insects!
retrorussell
John Madden Football (1990, Genesis) Great introduction to the series, though it didn't have every team (kinda like Tecmo Bowl). It had a new viewpoint for throwing to receivers that I REALLY loved; the 3 windows showing 3 receivers and how open they were. I couldn't get used to any other kind of football game controls after this. And it had a cool song with rap-like football terminology thrown in. T-t-t-t-t-t-touchdown! Touchdown! +thegoldenband
Light Crusader for Sega Genesis. Some people don't think much of this game, but I think it's a terrific isometric puzzle/action RPG with a nice aesthetic, a gorgeous soundtrack, and some diabolical puzzles. One of my favorites for the system.
