Atari_afternoon
I agree, it´s one of my favourites and a Lynx-must have since it´s one of a kind. Great gameplay, too. When I got it I was really happy and played it for hours that afternoon. I think I wrote a bit about my impressions last year in my "Lynx Newbie" thread from September 2010. Carl Forhan from Songbird (he wrote the missions and did the cutscenes, the rest was inherited/bought from the Battlewheels-programmers) is a longtime member here and wished me goo dluck There are still 2 missions I have not accomplished yet. chris_lynx1989
Yeah, this was a neat title that was coming out in Sept. '93,right on the heels of Battle Wheels that came out in June '93.It used the same engine that BW used for graphics and such. I couldn't get into CV like I could BW though.I liked the action and explosions and variety of BW more.I'm picky. It wasn't horrible.Beyond Games did some neat stuff for 19/20 yrs ago and along the lines of Epyx and Atari.Too bad the other 2 games like these never made it out. Willard
CyberVirus, Raiden, Pounce, Hyperdrome & Fat Bobby are a couple titles that I've been wanting for awhile but haven't quite bought yet. Still have to build up my lynx collection with a few other commercial releases first (Battlezone 2000, Road Blasters, Checkered Flag), but will probably pick one of them up before I go on a trip next Edited February 24, 2012 by Willard
chris_lynx1989
You're not missing much on one,Willard. If you can get past holding and viewing your Lynx vertically, then Raiden is neat. Pounce is an "okay" or meh demo in the Viking Child vein. Fat Bobby is neat and fun. Hyperdrome is a BLAST with 4 players!

chris_lynx1989
He may just be an enthusiastic Lynx owner. So was I,up until 2005.After Apr. '05 arrived and I got into PSP,I stopped being SO enthusiastic. I'm sure they're not trying to be a thorn in your side on purpose.

Maybe you could make one big Bentper2 thread for all your thoughts and questions? If you find their posts annoying you don't need to read them. I think it is great that Bentper2 is so enthusiastic and is building up a great collection of games.

raskar42
All kidding aside, CyberVirus is a lot of fun. It plays a lot like Super Battletank.
108 Stars
To be fair to AtariLynxLover: There really is very little moderation here on AtariAge, for better or worse. I agree that it's not too much to ask to use the search function ans check if a similar thread already exists. At AA a lot of threads really are similar to others because nobody bothers to search and the mods don't care. A bit of research before starting threads would make AA an even better experience, just because all arguments on a topic can be found in a single thread then. This is not meant to bash bentper or something, just a thought.
