+evg2000
I use a TV card in my mac that has s-video, composite, and RF inputs. Cost about $100. If you have a pc you could probably use something like this: http://www.dealextre...ner-card-112132 or here are a bunch on amazon: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Delectronics&field-keywords=tv+tuner+pci#/ref=sr_nr_p_36_0?rh=n%3A172282%2Ck%3Atv+tuner+pci%2Cp_36%3A1253503011&bbn=172282&keywords=tv+tuner+pci&ie=UTF8&qid=1330486455&rnid=386442011 Edited February 29, 2012 by evg2000

You are going to want something with a RF input though unless you have your consoles A/V modded. Or, you can buy a cheap device along the lines of a Dazzle (they can run $30+), hook your system to a VCR and let that convert the signal to composite, then plug your VCR into the capture card/device. OldSchoolRetroGamer
Personally I use a cheap low end standalone DVD -Recorder. Got tired of audio sync issues, after several USB devices from Dazzle to 3 others I record direct to DVD now, has a tv tuner built in and composite or even RF (coaxial) input just like a VCR. This way, gameplay is recorded and ready to import into my editing program and the original footage is already archived to DVD. I had to many issues trying to record to my PC, when I switched to windows 7 I had driver issues that were never resolved and incompatibility with software and the OS, screw that, took the PC out of the recording equation and have never looked back! $80 low end DVD recorder form FutureShop. +evg2000
In my original post I also added a bunch more from amazon that are under $50. It depends on what you want, cheapest way is with an internal card, most of them handle video, composite, and rf, so most everything you would want. I had tried usb devices in the past, never happy with them. Also, the nice thing about the internal ones with the three different inputs is most of them will also work with PAL, so you can use your PAL systems to play games or record videos.
