Identify this small circuitboard?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Got myself a backup atari ste recently and it came with this board. No idea what it does, I tried looking up the chip names but no info came out. At the end of the red wire is a female 1/8".

Can anyone identify this? Any idea what could be done with it?post-32081-0-31853800-1330608119_thumb.jpgpost-32081-0-90468300-1330608121_thumb.jpg

Sorry, i was thinking better and it's both too small to be an accelerator card, nor it seems to suppose to fit a 6800 CPU.

Check if the STe has a 1.44Mb floppy, i think they needed to work in 16mhz to read high density discs. The female could have had a 'stick' to change between 8mhz and 16mhz.

28 pins could be right for the floppy controller.

It would to know to wich chip it was plugged.
