Tempest
I thought I'd start up a thread for people who want to setup trades an post want lists for the upcoming MGC. I'll start it off: For Trade/Sale I'll have a complete Mattel Aquarius system setup for trade/sale. It includes the computer, tape recorder, printer, and expander all in boxes (no controllers though) and four cartridges (Fileform, Finform, Biorhythms, and Snafu). I'll also bring some other misc stuff. I'll post what it is later night. Looking For I'm looking to buy or trade for a Neo Geo CD or CDZ system. I'm also looking for Atari 8-bit carts and Apple IIe games I'll be stationed in the free play classic computer/console room, but I'll also be making the rounds on the main floor now and then. BassGuitari
You wouldn't be willing to deal the Aquarius Cassette unit separately by any chance, would you? Carlson
This year I have a six table island, and will have it packed with retro import video games from Japan. Tempest, I am bringing a nice boxed frontloading neo geo cd. Atarian75
I will be on the hunt for CIB SNES games or just boxes and manuals this year. Bring 'em if ya got 'em Edited March 21, 2012 by Atarian75 Quote Link to comment https://forums.atariage.com/topic/195516-2012-midwest-gaming-classic-trades-wants/#findComment-2487307 Share on other sites
Tempest
You wouldn't be willing to deal the Aquarius Cassette unit separately by any chance, would you? Actually I have a spare cassette unit that I can bring. It's one they used on the Aquarius QA team, but other than a sticker on the unit I can't tell that it's any different than the released on. I'll show you. Tempest, I am bringing a nice boxed frontloading neo geo cd. I might have to take a look at that. Were the front loading ones more or less reliable than the top loading models? Also, how easy is it to region mod the Neo CD? 98PaceCar
Tempest, I am bringing a nice boxed frontloading neo geo cd. I might have to take a look at that. Were the front loading ones more or less reliable than the top loading models? Also, how easy is it to region mod the Neo CD? I'm all but certain the Neo CD doesn't have any region locking. I'm looking for a CIB copy of MUSHA for the Genesis as well as a bunch of the less expensive Genny SHMUPS. Could also be tempted to buy a copy of Aerofighters for SNES. Prefer CIB, but loose would work as well. wallydawg
I have a bunch of stuff for trade (wherein I should have gotten a vending table, but there's just way too much to do that I don't think I could set behind one table for most of the event). I'll be downstairs most of the time in the "Retro Horizons" room this year with the Benheck forum collective, showing off some console mods and repair and all that stuff. What I am looking for: Old ATX Power Supply for a NEOGEO MVS console project NEOGEO MVS Games Space Harrier 32x box 3DO longbox games Dreamcast games Jag CD games Maybe TG16cd console Vectrex console Wonderswan games FS/T This is the Atari-centric section of the internet so I'll post that stuff here first, outside of the spoilers 2600 Vader shell. I was going to mod another console inside it but that might be deemed blasphemous so I'd trade for a regular 2600 shell and a Dreamcast game or something. Broken Jaguar, probably a cart slot issue. 2600 River Raid CIB with the blue cart 2600 Montezuma's Revenge CIB 2600 Miner 2049'er Vol. II cart only CONSOLES Datamax Kids Delight, popular case for portables. Dingoo A320, black. Needs new battery (link to dealextreme) Dreamcast White, console only, (kyle has controllers for sale probably still) Genesis 2/Sega CD bundle. Will sell either one seperately. 1 3rd party 6-button Controllers, No Power adapters. Free Sewer Shark. HTC Aria Cell phone. AT&T GSM branded. Jaguar Console only, broken. I think it is a cart slot issue. If you are a bad enough dude to try and fix this, be forewarned that the cart slot has nearly 150 pins. N64 Jungle Green, 2 matching controllers and hookups (system just has jumper pak) Playstation 9001 console Playstation 1001 console, with the Composite jacks in the back/audiophile sound bs Radica Genesis, BLUE. Rock Band 2 wireless drumset Saturn Oval button Console, broken. No hookups or controllers. Might be fixed by pot tweak. Good case, maybe for another mod [cough]allinonegenesissegacd32x[/cough] Sega CD, broken. Might be fixed with pot tweak. No power adapter. Sega Master System w/hookups, 1 3 button genesis controller (they work on sms, as does 2600 controllers). Have 3D glasses and Light Phaser and games too. Socrates 1980's Learning Computer. More information here. Smartq5 MID 4.3-5" tablet. Small scratch on corner of screen. Turbografx16 console with back dust cover thing w/standard RF cord. No power, have a controller that doesn't seem to work, stripped screws cant get the case open to investigate. CONTROLLERS/ACCESORIES Steel Batallion Controller, untested Dreamcast Controller extension cables Gamegear Powerback external battery. Doesnt hold a charge. Good for astetically pleasing extra space on a portable mod using a GG as a case (I think it was EvilNod that did this on an N64-GG portable) Master System 3D Glasses w/Adapter. Glasses only have 1 side extension but you usually see them sold with zero. Master System Light Phaser Zapper Gun NES Advantage Arcade Style Controller Crapload of NES dust covers. Some say Nintendo, others don't. (Specify which you are looking for) NES Zappers. 3 grey, 2 orange. NES Gunshot Controller. Austin
I might have to take a look at that. Were the front loading ones more or less reliable than the top loading models? Also, how easy is it to region mod the Neo CD? Can't comment on the reliability, but I think they are more difficult to come by (they don't seem to pop up as regularly on eBay anyway). If the motherboard is similar to the top-loader, it's super-easy to region "mod" it. Just de-solder the resistor from the Japan slot and move it to the US/English slot (that's in layman's terms of course, I don't remember exactly what the labels on the board say). By default though it will play any region games--they will just be in Japanese. The bonus to that is games will have their normal colored blood (I prefer English text over that, but some prefer it the other way around).
