Mr. Do Cart Doesn't Start?

Seeing as you have said that you cleaned and recleaned the cartridge edge connector and If all your other games are working properly, then the cart is dead and you will have to replace it. Otherwise, if you have the skills, you can open up the cart and reflow all the solder joints.

Worst case scenario, donate the cart to CollectorVision to be recycled for one of their future releases and you should be able to find a replacement Mr. Do! cart anywhere from $1.00 to $10.00 depending on your luck.

Thanks for the replies. Just one more question, does reflow the solder mean just resolder all the solder points?

In a way yes. Basically you have to reheat the solder joint then add a bit more solder to it to make certain that everything has a good contact. Sometimes in electronic curcuits something happens called a "cold solder" joint in which the solder didn't quite get as good as a connection that was needed but it will still work and it can work for a while then develop problems. If you look closely at the solder joints with a strong magnifying glass sometimes you can see the problem.

I hope this helps.

Thanks for the clarification. Just wanted to make sure of what I was doing. Not up on all the newer terms. Thanks!
