Usually what this means is there's a database query that's taking quite a bit of time and causing other queries to pause. The message you're seeing is an attempt to reduce hits to the database server so it can catch back up. I need to get the forum upgraded to version 3.3 fairly soon, which will allow me to move a large number of messages into "archived" tables. These messages will still appear the same while you're using the forum, but they'll be in tables that aren't accessed as frequently and should greatly speed up forum operations. Lots of other performance enhancements in 3.3 as well, so I need to get moving on that (it just came out within the last month). I'm also exploring means to eliminate the downtime while the forum database is backed up at around 4am (CST) every night. ..Al 2 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
