Check out this sellers idea of XTRA RARE cartriges for Atari on ebay. So rare they have to start at $20 and have to have a reserve.

I would think that this auction is in facto worth just about $20. Bump N Jump and He-Man both consistently sell in the $10 range. And that is the relatively rare 01 Combat cart. However, the reserve is probably something ridiculous.

I think that it's a gag. He says that the rarity ranges from 1(not so common) to 5(rare) out of 10...and then links AtariAge so you can "see for yourself".

The problem with that is that if you are willing to look around a little bit, it's not hard to find the same games for less than a few dollars. I scored a He-Man for the princely sum of TWENTY-TWO CENTS. *heh*

I think that this person just wants to see how much these carts are worth to people. If he really wanted to sell them, he wouldn't have placed a reserve on the auction.

Sure, but we're talking about eBay prices here. I got my Video Cube for $5 and once found Chase the Chuckwagon, Tapper and Mr. Do's Castle for $2 each but you can't expect to pick them up for those prices on eBay.

 

Of course, I sold them ALL (I have another Video Cube now). I wish I had them all back... CURSE YOU, MMF! You brought back all the PAIN!!!!

I agree. My point is that I don't think that lot is $20 "minimum" even by eBay standards. In a bidding war it might be $20, "maximum." Sold individually they could fetch that total perhaps.. if he was VERY lucky.

My bad Xot. You can have a brewski (alcoholic or otherwise) on me at Philly Classic to ease the pain. If it makes you feel any better, know that I kick myself in the pants every time I realize I could have had complete boxed 2600 games for pennies on the dollars they sell for today if I had spent my allowance and beanwalking money on them as a kid. They were EVERYWHERE. I could have bought dozens at Kay bee!
