Persona

The Persona series is probably my favorite RPG series.

 

Persona and Persona 2: Eternal Punishment were released here on the PlayStation One. (made by Atlus)

 

Over in Japan, the Megami Tensei series, of which Persona comes from, is ranked in the top 3 RPGs along with Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy.

 

It has a modern-day setting, very deep and somewhat dark storyline, and a great, innovative battle system that allows you to raise and summon 100+ Personas and converse with the enemies.

 

Anyone else here heard of these games?

The link that says Storyline is the page in the front of the instructions that gives a brief introduction to the plot. It is very undetailed and doesn't contain any spoilers.
