matthew180
These lines should all: line up on the colon, but there seems: to be a problem with a modification of the content where: a certain number of spaces are being converted into tabs. : But I can't tell for sure if it is being done on the : input and storage of the text, or in the output processing... : Unless it is something FireFox is doing? Code tags are supposed to be for fixed formatted text and not subject to any markup. Trying to syntax high-light is fine (but sometimes annoying when the language does not match), but not being able to line up columns is frustrating. I guess I better check via other browsers, FireFox is not currently displaying code tags correctly.
SeaGtGruff
It isn't FireFox, or not just FireFox.
matthew180
Nope, it is not just FireFox or any browser specific problem. The code tags are being parsed at some point and any group of four consecutive spaces are being converted to tabs, which completely messes up any alignment you might be trying to do. Being a technical forum, I'm surprised this change has not caused more attention... Sad to say it is still broken as of this post.
Albert
It looks like this has been fixed, at least somewhat, in IP.Board 3.4. I was able to make a post on their test forum using the above block of text and it is formatted correctly: ..Al

If you edit your post without turning off the full-featured editor, does it still keep the formatting?
