Lendorien
My Colecovision estate sale find ended up being a bust. The machine would slowly fritz out when it warmed up. I couldn't figure out why and replacing the power switch and power supply did no good. I had a collection of games, but no console. So I went without for about a year. Until about 2 weeks ago. I found a beat-up cv with about 17 games at Mega Media Exchange for 55 dollars. I was a little boggled by the price, but went for it. I was able to switch the guts out into my old, better looking case and it works like a beaut. Plus I added 11 games to my collection. I'm so jazzed that I got the thing so cheaply and have such a large collection of games to browse through. Among the new games I got were: Burgertime Cabbage Patch Kids Front Line Frogger Mr. Do. Roc'n'Rope Space Panic Rocky Super Action Boxing Star Trek: Strategic Operations Time Pilot Zaxxon Burgertime is of course a favorite, but Space Panic is the one that I've played the most. It reminds me of a gameboy game I played a lot of in high school call Helinko Alien. I don't quite get Zaxxon and of course Cabbage Patch Kids is almost as bad as Smurfs. Rocky's boxing was more impressive than I expected. Arcade Quality graphics indeed! Anyway, had to share. Any suggestions on games to get that won't cost the farm? My current collection: http://www.rfgeneration.com/cgi-bin/collection.pl?name=Lendorien&folder=Collection&console=|024|®ion=U Cheers! Ransom
Nice find! Yeah, Space Panic is a great one. So's Roc 'n' Rope, IMO. There are lots of other good games in your list as well. $55 for all of those plus a working CV doesn't sound bad to me. As far as additional games to get, keep your eye on the forums here. There are lots of great homebrews out there with more coming. And don't forget the Super Expansion Module and all the games being planned for it!

RedRaider
Good find, you'll enjoy it. Consider investing in a AtariMax Colecovision Ultimate SD Multi-Cart, then you can try all the games: http://www.atarimax.com/colecosd/documentation/index.html Also, our resident Colecovision hardware guru, Yurkie, provides several services which are very worthwhile investments (plus very reasonably priced IMHO), if you truly get into the Colecovision addiction. Here is his thread that describes his various services in detail: http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/172279-colecovision-hardware-mods-89-and-sales-modded-cv-added-sun-826/ It was only five short months ago that I finally acquired my first Colecovision, or should I say, YurkieVision. I bought a modded system directly from Yurkie, along with a several pieces of Yurkie refurbished hardware: Expansion Module #1, Expansion Module #2 and the Roller Controller. As the old saying goes, a picture says a thousand words: Barb sells custom hand-made dust covers on eBay, which are invaluable, IMHO: You can purchase them here: eBay Seller: papa*nannysfunstuff Enjoy your new 30 year old console! ColecoDan
I would recomend buying sideTrak from Collectorvision. It is $60 but at least it is not ridiculous price that it can be when they get sold out. If you remember the colecovsion catalog that showed games it was the vaporware that they never produced. It is awesome with great ozzie music track. I second Pepper II it is one of the best games coleco made and it is cheap in cart only.
PkK
How about some homebrew games? Their quality is up to that of the original games, and surpasses them in somecases. newcoleco is one of the veterans: http://www.ccjvq.com/newcoleco/ opcode games are popular, especially around the forums here: http://www.ccjvq.com/newcoleco/ there's some more developers out there, though most of them did not make as many games as the above two. This includes me: http://colecovision....coVision/games/ Philipp
