oldjd
As many of you know,my wife sells dust covers on the bay.Well.yesterday she got a notice from the bay, stating that a buyer filed a dispute for "item not as decribed". The complaint was based on a sale for an Atari jaguar cover The buyer states, that the cover was not for an Xj,and is to small. See where this is going? Barb/wife responds and the guy says, first he has tried contacting her several timesthat the ad specifically says will fit XJ,and that he was very dissapointed to open the package and find this little cover. Barb, tells the guy,no where in the ad does it say it fits an Atari Jaguar XJ,nor did she get any prior emails SO,she checks the guys feedback, and it seems he owns several Jaguars=CARS. He thought the JAg cover she was selling was a cover for his car=Duh! Guess it would be a tad small, plus I doubt a cover would be that cheap Anyway, thought it was worth a few chuckles Edited September 21, 2012 by oldjd
20ohm20
I've bought a few of her dust covers and I really like them. Any chance of her making an Atari 800, 810 or a Commodore 1541 cover?
allhallowseve2000
that is really funny. I can imagine his sad face when he took it outside to put on his XJ

Andromeda Stardust
Some people are sooo dumb. Did she offer a refund or let him eat his losses?
OBO
Oh, these are these nice-looking dust covers for Jag I saw on eBay ? Was tempted to get one and may get one soon (despite the fact that I am in France, so shipping costs may be costly), at the moment the Atari Jaguar is in a coton bag labelled with my firm's name... labrat
If I had a Jag, I'd put an atari logo on it somewhere.
oldjd
Just a short update.Since Barb contacted the buyer, giving him the option to return the cover, there has been no response. If I were him I think I would feel a tad embarrased
Protoplasym
That's hilarious, the Buyer sounds like he slipped and fell... bigtime
Andromeda Stardust
Maybe he could use the dust cover to place over one of those 1:18 scale die-cast car replicas! There's also another car/ game console that I'm aware of which also share a common name with a planet: Saturn! oldjd
Update. After all this time buyer sent a message "I think you, ebay and the post office are all working against me" "Furthur.we are wrong for placing our ad in the category" WTF? Hell,if I knew it was that easy to get Ebay, and the Post office to work for us,I would be all over it. In the meantime, this just gets stranger
