Brad2600
Hmm? Did I outbid you on something?
CPUWIZ
He was trying to tell you that there was a 7800 for $12.99,- BIN but it's gone now.
Brad2600
Too late..I already have one. LOL. I go by BradB002 on EBay. All I need now are CONTROLLERS for my 7800. I just won a lot of 9 games for the 7800 on EBay..mostly commons I believe: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=3004159345
oesii
That was a good haul of games for that price, Fight Night isn't that easy to find and is probably worth at least 5 or 6 bucks by itself. The rest of the games are all fun to play too You can use a standard 2600 stick or a Genesis controller for many of those games so you can at least get started. Brad2600
I can use a Genesis or 2600 controller? Wow I had no clue regarding this. Do I have to do any special modifications though? It would be nice to have standard 7800 controllers but I heard they weren't very reliable. I wanted the 7800 games mostly for Mario Bros as well as the other games. I will probably end up selling Pole Position II as I already have it. It's obviously the most common 7800 game. I'm also bidding on another lot of 11 7800 games. I also got this 5200 coming in the mail soon: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...3002054941&rd=
oesii
No mods needed for the 2600 or genny controllers, some games require a 7800 2 button controller but most don't. Mitch has a great 7800 page for reference: http://members.aol.com/atari7800games/ This page lets you know which games you can use with 1 button controllers and which one needs 2: http://members.aol.com/~Atari7800games/7800list.htm/
oesii
That looks like a good 4-port 5200 setup you got on ebay. Some nice boxes and fun games. You'll be deep into everything Atari soon
Brad2600
Well I am expanding my game collection and I like to collect games that came on all 3 Atari systems...2600, 5200 and 7800. So far I have 2600 Mario Bros and soon, 7800 Mario Bros. You get the idea. I will check out the 7800 page sometime. I like the idea as I have many Sega Genesis controllers lying around. Brad2600
I'm not sure which of my games will work with 1 button so I'll wait until I get the 9 7800 games and then do some investigating. I might still invest in 7800 controllers. .
+davidcalgary29
Whoops! I guess link didn't work as I had planned. I'm glad, Kepone, that you were able to find a 7800 at a reasonable price.
Brad2600
I didn't pay anything for the 7800..it's part of a trade for my TI-99/4a which I still can't send out until I get some $$..particulary from the people who bought my items on EBay. I'm dying for some gas, pizza, beer and shipping money so I can send out all the items.
MrRetroGamer
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...2&category=3537 $12 to ship a bare bones 7800, I don't think so!
+davidcalgary29
Yes, well, my perspective is out of whack anyway. I paid $96 to ship a ST package from Seattle in December, and I'm still missing a box!
