People on Atari Age patient? HAHAHA never going to happen. In fact, this whole community has turned in to instant gratification, download it now, get it at walmart whiny crybabies. You are lucky they aren't making new accounts just to ask you twice.

New accounts just to ask him twice? That's just nuts. People need to be patient. I only ask him once per day with one account.

This is beginning to remind me of the test for how patient a child is. A teacher places a marshmallow on a table in front of a child and says "If you can wait 15 minutes without eating this one marshmallow, I will give you two more". I think these people pestering Wonder probably couldn't wait the 15 minutes.

But who wants to wait around doing nothing for 15 minutes only to get 3 lousy marshmallows? One is more than enough anyway :P

My experience with AA in my first large-scale order process was the opposite, actually! People were incredibly patient in regard to the posters, and as long as I kept regularly posting status updates, everyone was incredibly friendly with me. In fact, the project took longer than expected and because I was so open with communication, I got several comments expressing gratitude in regard to my communications ability and updates. I thought everyone who ordered was just great, without any problems -- very understanding people!

I think that's key with a big project, and I think sometimes the project originators tend to forget that -- if you don't keep people informed over time, they're going to get a little weary of the lack of information provided. No updates leads to paranoia; as far as the "customer" is concerned, they've already done their due diligence by purchasing the item and giving someone money. They shouldn't have to have the burden of information discovery on top of that -- that's the responsibility of the information provider.

Agreed!

The Information Jose is collecting is way more than anyone knew only a year ago. He has uncovered some of the mystery of this game already. Cant wait to find out more!

I am not trying create added stress to everybody's patience but I am going to be talking to people who worked at Mena's Toys.....and rather write a full report once I get all of the facts... :)

My Dad knew the owner (remember, I am Cuban and my parents know all of the movers and shakers in the Cuban community (Southern California), especially the area where Mena's Toys was...my Dad still has his business in the area....like seven minutes away though. He is connecting with some of his old buddies to get me people to talk to....I already identified two people who worked at Mena's Toys circa early 80's. Once I speak to these individuals (and perhaps some more), I will write up a full report in this thread. I already spoke to one individual and got some very interesting information, including the fact that there might be another MenAVision release but I felt that he was not sure about it....I will try to confirm that info with the others I will be speaking to.

Thanks for your patience and more later.

I don't think there's an issue with whining here on Atariage. If anything, frequent posts show interest in upcoming projects, and prevents threads from becoming buried and lost forever. Actually, anyone who's been on other gaming forums like NintendoAge can attest that the level of whining here is far less than elsewhere. Although it's a different web culture for sure, on NintendoAge there is an enormous amount of griping, bickering about collector prices, insults, a cutthroat marketplace, and overall of people getting "butthurt" by the even the smallest comment. Granted, it's still a good forum, but a lot of members, both new and old, and also suffering from a few too many mods not really doing enough. It seems like here on AtariAge, everyone pretty much works together towards common goals. Maybe because there aren't as many folks actively collecting Atari as NES, but AtariAge overall seems a little more peaceful, and a lot more patient than elsewhere.

I always ate it right when she placed in on the table before she spoke. Then I would say,"I didn't hear the rule! So, it wasn't a fair game! Please explain again! I promise I'll follow it! PLZZZZZ!" Then she would place another on the table.... Chomp!

Depends on the size of the marshmallow. Also, is the marshmallow coated in chocolate, coconut, or something else. I remember putting marshmallows in the vacuum chamber in high school science class. Now that was a big marshmallow. Not Mr. Stay-Puft big, but quite substantial before it lost structural integrity and collapsed (and then was no longer puffy).

You are correct, that is the key right there. So many people in charge of projects just can't seem to comprehend this. I'm really not sure why; it seems so obvious to me. In my opinion weekly updates should be mandatory for any and all projects.

I don't want to sound negative, but this is turning out to be one huge disappointment.

Patience is key, Wonder is bar-none the most reputable collector here, and he's released more than anyone else out there.....the details will arrive when it's time.....and we'll probably all crap collective bricks!

Not good enough to crap common bricks. I am hoping the news to be so astounding that I crap out Air-Raid carts! :o

Fiber. Everyone take in more fiber.

I did. Only issue with that; I tend to crap out a lot more Pacman's and E.T.'s when I'm on a high-fiber diet. Still haven't found that "golden turd" yet, and believe me, i've looked! Maybe I should increase my consumption of heavy metals? Alchemy is real, folks...

Maybe we can just change the thread title to "The secret of Men-A-Vision kind of maybe possibly revealed in the near-ish future, whenever it's gotten around to."

That'll quiet things down until something gets posted. :P

The secret is ... there is no secret, especially with some guys with no programming experience (that can be remotely verified) making a game for our beloved 2600. If there was a story here, I am sure, by now we would have read at least something about it by now on the mainstream news sites.

Wonder will deliver. This time of year is incredibly busy for him; he likely doesn't have time for anything, let alone AA he's probably working so hard. But I am sure he has some great info for us and once things slow down a bit (which should be soon), he will be back with a full report for us to drool over! :)

Geez, you'd think people preordered the Secret of Menavision or something, what with all the righteous disappointment cards being played.

Occasionally, real life gets in the way of tracking down obscure companies and people who developed an equally obscure piece of crappy software for a 35-year-old game console nobody but us gives half a shit about. Chill out; information will come when it comes.
