+therealbountybob
By a landslide the "Games with Sequels and Sequels" vote was won by the strange pairing of... Frogger and Mr.Robot II someone can write the story for this one Round Ends: Sunday 9th December 10am GMT Frogger - There are various official Frogger relases (see atarimania comments) Main Game: Parker Bros. (Cartridge release) atarimania (ROM USA) atarimania (ROM Europe) [is there an ATR/File version of this release?] OR Sierra On-Line (Disk release) atarimania Fandal atarionline.pl (1982 John Harris). Both have the red time bar. Play either game on both FAST and SLOW speeds, post both scores. [standard HSC Scoring. Beat Dietrich's HSC record of 60,045 on FAST for a bonus point!] Bonus Game: Sierra On-Line's "Sega" Frogger atarimania Fandal atarionline.pl (1981 Chuck Benton). Top players play on FAST others may choose to play on SLOW [scoring 6pts top, 5pts 2nd, 4pts 3rd, 3pts 4th&5th, 2pts 6th=9th, 1pt 10th+] Extra Bonus points: for 2 player simultaneous "team" action yes with a real person! Mr.Robot II - now you guys in Poland know everyone, right? so who knows the author "Mirek M.Gryfino"???! Press fire to play and don't fall off! Post score and screen reached. Some hints on Post #9 and checkout roadrunner's video on Post #18. Top players no using pause [ESC] to checkout/plan the screens. There are probably only 20 so we should be able to complete them in 2weeks Download: atarimania Fandal atarionline.pl (has ATR & XEXs) [standard HSC Scoring] 3 times HSC champion Fandal's great Atari 8-bit site is 8 years old! If you're reading this thanks for supporting our machines so well I detect a change in the Force; are there Sith lords about to return from the depths?... I hope so To be fair to Scalak and McKong this season will end after Round 21, mid January. I'll try not to have too many points going but please say if you are not happy with anything EVERYONE WELCOME TO JOIN IN - screenshots optional, just PLAY AND POST Edited March 21, 2021 by therealbountybob Ribbetin' Rules for you to READ! +therealbountybob
Mr Robot 2 18,770 i'm stuck on the 3rd screen Ya wantin hints already rr... well ok just this once one of these Mr.Robot Hints will help on screen C but I'm not telling you which (i) He can fall off from about 4 squares and survive. (ii) He can jump into the screen edges and bounce off (iii) He can jump off ladders (with his head level with the platform, catch the power pill and land on the trampoline and kill the baddie) Looks like this is a very al round (though would prefer Mr.R with SFX only)... I have Sega Frogger blaring out behind me from the 130XE while I'm on atariage
+therealbountybob
Frogger Latest We'll make "Sega Frogger" (Chuck Benson) the bonus game with either the Parker Bros. Frogger OR Sierra On Line (John Harris) Frogger (the onse with the red time bar!) being the main games. I don't think there's a disk version of the P.Bros ver but some people may be lucky enough to have it on Cartridge? The main "P.Bros/SOL Frogger" will be combined scores from Slow and Fast. For the bonus game "Sega Frogger" top players play on Fast only; other players may choose to play on Slow. Bonus points for 2 player simultaneous action see post #1 for details My scores Main SOL Frogger (Fast) 9,600 (Slow) 14,700 = Combined score of 24,300 Bonus Sega Frogger (Fast) 10,325 Mr.Robot II 50,310 got to level F but D took a bit of doing! Some players may struggle with the start of screen B sorry I didn't realise it would be so difficult so soon Music My old copy of Frogger only had 1 tune so I'm pleasantly suprised by the number of jolly tunes in the full version; the Sega one then ramps these up to fantastic Atari organ sound (must turn of XE and go to bed soon!) trbb in atari music bliss [OK now we need to name all the tunes so I have some words to sing? I'll start with Yankee Doodle - Wikipedia] Game ON !

+therealbountybob
Todays goes: Mr.Robot II, cracked screen F after a few goes got to H 64,340 Top players no using pause to checkout/plan the screens, there are probably only 20 so we should be able to complete them in 2weeks Frogger 14,525 on Fast and 17,880 on Slow; total... well I'll work that out later Frogger Sega 19,330 (Fast) rr is the movement on this version more like the arcade game ? I working on a video for MR 2 The only vid on youtube the person just played the first screen. I'll show people how to beat the first 3 screens! roadrunner
I posted a video on youtube of Mr Robot 2 Hopefully it can help people get past screens 2 and 3. +therealbountybob
Nice Mr.Robot II video roadrunner +1 HSC point BONUS Was fun watching a HSCer in action, hopefully the plug will round up another whole player (or two) for next season The nice thing with Mr.R is there are several ways to do most of the screens. The Bomb Screen 'D' is hard but I've been going right - up to the middle then jumping back on the single end bomb (you left this one right!) back right and up to clear the top then slide down and up the left to the middle... there are probably better ways - you can be lucky and collect the dots over the slides without sliding down if you jump at the last second Anyone else think he looks a bit camp On todays session I got to H again but improved to 68,930 and on Frogger 17,085 on Fast, and 33,155 on Slow. (after the single croc all the logs etc came back (with 2 snakes) so not sure if it gets harder or loops? Didn't improve on the Bonus game Sega Frogger. Talking of campness how come we collect a green frog in this version?! Is Mr.Benton trying to tell us something.... not that there's anything wrong with that p.s. You NTSC guys might want to play on PAL to slow them down to our level - this goes for any games if you find them too tough - I don't think we have many NTSC real hardware guys playing I might change things around a bit next season

A plug for Mario Bros Classic and Soccer Kid for the Game Boy Advance in the high score clubs section here at AA. A few days left to play, you might even get a prize too. Goochman
Mr Robot II - 20370 Frogger Fast - 12355 For those that want some extra Mr. Robot Ive attached my custom levels. Unfort the disk got a bit screwed up so you need to boot into DOS 2.0 or 2.5 and then put this disk in Drive 1, then load MRROBOT, go to the editor, load level A and then 'play' Fandal fixed my disk awhile back and put it here on his site: http://atari.fandal.cz/detail.php?files_id=6013 You need to go to the Editor and then 'Disk' and my levels are in the 'Unknown' Set - pick A and away you go. +therealbountybob
...have updated the High Score Spreadsheet Good work Champs Parker Bros Slow - 37240 Fast 14655 Beaten my slow score eh?! what did you think re difficulty - did you get to the 2nd 'reset'? Glad you liked the video trbb, and thanks for the bonus point. I think screen D is as far as i'm gonna get tho. might give myseff a few bonus points for giving people bonus points (don't tell Scalak) Screen D try my hints from last post... there's gotta be a better way - generally try and minimise bomb tread so you can re-use a path; screen E is a real gimme and can rack up a big score with a v.quick time and bombs too For those that want some extra Mr. Robot Ive attached my custom levels. .. Fandal fixed my disk awhile back and put it here on his site: http://atari.fandal....p?files_id=6013 You need to go to the Editor and then 'Disk' and my levels are in the 'Unknown' Set - pick A and away you go. We made it to the big time I was thinking of saving these for a home brews round but if anyone want's any extra Mr.R then take a bash at Goochman's levels (mine are probably way too hard!) and I'll dish out a couple of bonus HSC points The Frogger HSC record (on Fast) is help by dietrich 60,045 Season 3 round 10, break this for a bonus point
