Cassidy Nolen
For some reason my Pocket Programmer 2 will not burn chips. Reads them just fine, but not able to write to them. I checked the 9 Volt power supply, and its running at 8.8 Volts. I know in an arcade, the magic number is 5 Volts. Does anyone know if this burner needs all 9? I am going to try a new adaptor anyway, just wondering if you have any experience with this burner. I am ready to throw it out the window at this point. Unless I get this figured, there may not be a Polo release in Philly next month...... Cassidy
Osmeroid
Does the PP2 use UV to write to chips? I was wondering if the UV source lamp might have failed.
Cassidy Nolen
The eraser does, but not the burner. My issue might be in the new game ROM. Has a real high checksum. Maybe too hard to drive the data onto the eproms? Geez, I hate Radio Shack. I just bought a 20 dollar adaptor, because they cannot be bothered to restock their shelves. What a pain. Cassidy Nolen
First of all, this is WHY I read AA. Its full of really great people. No one makes fun of me for not getting it going, rather they offer to pitch in and help! At this point, that really overpriced wall wart did the trick (for now....). I did get a chip burned and it worked (well, sort of, ROM is still wacky, but at least its on a chip now..). I really appreciate the help, guys. I will keep you up to date.. Thanks, Cassidy
