MegaManFan
It's too bad they didn't release it for Dreamcast. I Jet Grind Radio, but I won't buy an X-Box just to play the sequel.
sdstuff64
Yea another Xbox vs GCN thread.
MegaManFan
Hey now, I'm just saying +I+ won't buy an X-Box. I'm not trying to turn it into X-Box vs. GC. If you have X-Box and like it, more power to you.
joeybastard
I want all 3 systems. More games is always better. Of course I'm only buying a GC because it has more games I like and will play but if I could get the other 2 for like $50 a piece I'd buy 'em. I'm buying a GC in 23 days when I get my birthday dough
bluevoodu
we could turn this into a GCN Vs Xbox thread lol but... we wouldn't accomplish much. This statement is not meant to be GCN Vs Xbox.... But have I have been hearing 2 sides to the Xbox making their platinum series..... what is the sales numbers they have to achieve to make it to platinum? Wasn't it 300000-400000? Some said this, but some said 750,000. All Nintendo products have to sell over 1,000,000 to reach their best seller... or player choice status. What is it for the Xbox though, 300-400000 seemed really low... thats not that great of an achievement. †B†V†
MacGurl
350,000 to 500,000 units
bluevoodu
that is rather low for a "best selling title" don't you all think? †B†V†
MacGurl
I guess so..but who cares if we can get games cheap! Although, I hope they don't turn out to be like PS2 Greatest Hits..all the games that suck. Who says their Greatest Hits?
CPUWIZ
The numbers are from last month, these are the 2 top XBOX sellers: XBX HALO MICROSOFT 1,062,847 = $50,744,204 XBX T.CLANCY'S SPLINTER UBISOFT 857,216 = $41,572,
MegaManFan
How long are they gonna ride on Halo before their console crumbles? Wow.

CPUWIZ
You were talking about best selling games, figured you might want to see some real numbers as opposed to a bunch of people taking guesses.
bluevoodu
but are those world wide or for the US? †B†V†
CPUWIZ
U.S. only.
MacGurl
I know Splinter Cell is an awesome game, but it surprises me that it's not far behind Halo consindering how long Halo has been out versus Splinter Cell.
bluevoodu
bw... divide out Splinter Cell's #'s and you get the average cost per game is $48.50... odd IT should either be at the suppliers price, or a constant retail $50.00. †B†V†
Foxy Cleopatra
I know Splinter Cell is an awesome game, but it surprises me that it's not far behind Halo consindering how long Halo has been out versus Splinter Cell. This is probably indicative of PC gamers heading to the XBox. As they are big fans of Tom Clancy games (at least my brother and his 50 bajillion smelly friends are concerned) that may be the reason why. But I'm just making a huge guess
CPUWIZ
I think that's a pretty good guess.
+Sauron
I'd rather play those Tom Clancy games on my PC, where I don't have to use a sucky-ass controller. But let's not forget that there really aren't very many Xobx games that are NOT out on the GameCube (or coming out). But please, let's stop Console Wars Thread #56935707824607 and get back to the topic on hand.
