Mendon Posted January 30, 2013 Author Share Posted January 30, 2013 I faced the same situation with The Last Story but it worked out: I pre-ordered the game and then a Collectors Edition was announced. I still think the Xenoblade Chronicles battle system sucks, which is why I gave up on the game early on and traded it in for something else. Are you drawing a distinction between "special edition" and "collector's edition"? As noted in Mendon's post, XSEED already said they won't be doing a collector's edition. I read elsewhere that they still may do it. Special, collectors....or boom stick edition. Whatever they wanna call it. I agree though I don't think it will happen.
