Room 34
I just "upgraded" my DirecTV package to Total Choice Plus, and one of the newly added channels is Boomerang. Going into this, I had no idea what Boomerang was. So now, I just got home from work and was flipping channels, and I noticed that they were showing "Wheelie and the Chopper Bunch"... it's classic cartoons that aren't on Cartoon Network! I flipped to the guide so I could see what else they show, and in addition to a wide assortment of '70s Hanna-Barbera, um, "classics," they are showing the Pac-Man cartoon! I used to love that show. Of course, I just loved it because it was Pac-Man. I'm a bit scared to watch it now. Has anyone seen it lately? Can you give me the sober, adult perspective on it before I brazenly go ahead and tarnish a childhood memory? (By the way, I know this doesn't REALLY belong in the 2600 forum... but I wanted it to get read, and it seems at least tangentially related.) Vic George 2K3
I think it's okay, though somewhat limited because it usually if not always ends up with Pac-Man and his Pac-friends, family, and pets scarfing down power pellets before they do the chomp thing on the ghosts. Mezmaron isn't really threatening as a villain.
bcprs1
LOL, I remember watching that show. I also remember the show that had cartoons of Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr, Dragons Lair and Kangaroo.
smf_4ever
Chomp Chomp is the coolest dog ever to be animated... that show is still fun.... in a sick way....
foxglove9
Oh I loved those game cartoons. I wish someone would release them all on DVD. I do have the Pac-Man Christmas special on VHS because cartoon network aired it a few years ago. But my local Cable operater doesn't have Boomerang yet

And, if you tape it, and send me the tape, I'd be willing to make an .mpeg out of it for people to download(if you want me to). Although I have no way to host it (I'm on dialup )
King Atari
Too bad, I don't get that channel, I'd love to see it. I do have the Christmas special on tape somewhere (taped it off Cartoon Network years ago).
Edit_5
Pac Man the cartoon had one run only in the UK, but I remember loads about it, Mezmeron was cool, is that the right cartoon? Speaking of 80's toons, anyone remember The Centurions, that was cool, power extreme...
