Shift838
I Found an old link to the bbs source codenfor USS Enterprise for the TI coded by Mark Shields. It was in XB with assembly calls. Did anyone ever download a copy. I have a very old version.
CantStopClicking
Unfortunately, no. But I'd be interested to see what you have. My first BBS I ran (on the TI of course) was a hybrid XB/assembly program as well but, I have no idea which one. Once I ran out of memory, I modified mine heavily, I switched to AfterHours BBS so I could get better speeds and I was hoping to learn assembly but that never happened. One of these days, I keep saying... -Dano
Shift838
The enterprise bbs source in xb used the zyolog machine languge programmed by Brian Wilcutt. It worked extremely well, but a side to side comparison with SNT bbs shows SNT is much faster for file IO access when running from disk. However zyolog during its day was the most advanced for the TI. I actually got the version I have running with a UDS and Telnet. I just cannot get it to issue a hangup correctly..yet... +InsaneMultitasker
The enterprise bbs source in xb used the zyolog machine languge programmed by Brian Wilcutt. It worked extremely well, but a side to side comparison with SNT S&T bbs shows SNT S&Tis much faster for file IO access when running from disk. However zyolog during its day was the most advanced for the TI. I try not to quibble often but in this case... for the record, it is "S&T" not "SNT" Software. Disk IO speed is a result of implementing the file IO routines in assembly. Back then I did everything I could to squeeze routines into and speed out of the beast. Shift838
My mistake..S&T.. the assembly explains the response time.
