Blazing Lazers
The article here says it all: http://techland.time...robocall-users/ I just was confronted with the choice of whether or not to accept the new Agreement, and have not yet done so. I instead did some Googling. I also ran the new agreement through my usual tool, the excellent and should-be-mandatory-to-use EULAyzer, available here: http://www.brightfort.com/eulalyzer.html Normally I never have anything score above a 5, but several sections in the new User Agreement scored 7's, so I'm wary of agreeing to the new User Agreement for now. Any thoughts on this new Agreement are welcome! Edited March 29, 2013 by Blazing Lazers
+wood_jl
This is VERY BOLD. In order to use Ebay, you have to agree to spam and robo calls? If there ever was a more necessary time (than now) for significant competition (which doesn't exist), I'd like to hear about it. This sucks! Albert
You can easily opt out of the spam and robocalls. ..Al
icemanxp300
Just checked my preferences and they didn't have anything checked. No calls for me, plus I'm on the "do not call list". I rarely get spam calls anymore.
shadow460
I'm glad this was posted. I just opted out of the calls. I typically block numbers the very first time I get any kind of sales call from them. lol, that's ironic since I sell stuff, too. I'm such a hypocrite! Uzumaki
I say let them try. I used my cell phone # but since I am deaf and lip reader, I can only use text messaging feature. Any voice call that comes in are left unanswered and my voice mail are simply never checked. I did ask if I could disable voice mail but they couldn't since it's standard with any phone contract they sell.
AtariLeaf
Glad I never updated my phone number with ebay. They can call me all they want. EDIT - I did follow the advice in the provided article so we'll see. Edited April 2, 2013 by AtariLeaf
