Goblin
I'd like to get started playing around with BLL, which is better to get for the downloader: SIMIS or Championship Rally. The cost difference at Songbird seems negligible, so I'm leaning towards Championship Rally since I can see myself actually playing that one. Is there anything else I should know before I decide to buy? Any other advice for a BLL newbie, I've already been reading through Bastian's site. glitch
I believe they are functionally the same as far as BLL support goes. They allow you to load your program into the Lynx's RAM. The SIMIS cart also has an eeprom that supposedly you can read & write to. I assume to do so would overwrite the high score tables if not nothing else. lucienEn
You can use BLL (uploader) in Championship Rally by going to the tournament screen ('TOURNAMENT' with season/year/points). In SIMIS you can upload in the title screen (I think when the scrolling text appears). Best to use an uploader in your uploaded program so you don't have to turn off/on again the lynx. You need a comlynx to PC serial cable. Then you can upload a homebrew program (.o) to your lynx using one of the send programs (sendpc.exe or other). More info is on Bastian and Matthias web sites: http://home.t-online.de/home/Matthias.Domi...in/lynx_eng.htm http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Byte/4242/
