karokoenig
Recently picked up a weird-looking PAL cart on eBay. Imagine my (short-lived) joy when I found it on AtariMania to be tagged with a "Holy Grail": http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-2600-vcs-racing-car_12644.html Imagine now the mood killer sentence "The white cartridge version of Racing Car is extremely rare" in the description, and my cart is the black version. Still, I haven't seen a cart like that around, and I wonder how rare this version might be. anyone an idea about that? I should add that the cart isn't exactly in good shape. I had to open it to remove quite a bit of dirt and polish away a lot of scratches, so that the dust cover moves at all. So the label (which is a bit detoriated anyway) now has a hole where the screw is.
Rom Hunter
Holy Grail status only counts for the white cartridge version. The black cartridge version is one of the more common Home Vision titles. R8 I would say.
karokoenig
Wow... R8 is still pretty rare. Who would have thought that... I'm more of a gamer than a collector, and I don't mind the game much. Would you say that I could find people here who are interested in buying that thing?

If you look on ebay germany, you'll find one or two at least with bins of $15-$25 and they never sell

Everyone who thinks he can earn serious cash on german eBay with Atari stuff is either totally new to the "business" or batshit crazy. Not trying to make a buck here anyway. I got this for 2,50 Euro plus 2 Euro shipping, and it's not in mint shape to say the least. So, if there is any collector here who desperately needs that thing to complete a collection - you can have it, as long as I don't lose any money. I'd rather give it away as cheap as possible into loving hands of AA members than try to flip it on ePay.
