So, before I spend the next couple weeks trying to suck at this game just a tiny bit less, is leeching UFOs allowed? That is esentially the primary strategy for Asteroids, but the HSC rules forbid leeching, so....

16,130. I hate taking pictures of games with this type of colour on my TV. They don't look right on the cellphone (the attached picture) or the 3DS (it actually takes completely unusable pictures of this one). I'm going to have to bring my really good camera home from work if I'm keeping posting in this round.

Hey guys. Umm, I don't want to be the uber nerd, and those scores are obviously not actually in doubt, but I think a new rule this season was going to be pictures are mandatory. Did we make that one official after... everything.

Have you ever seen the Easter Egg on 7800 Asteroids? Check it out the Hidden Credits:

post-24681-0-16455900-1368745227_thumb.png

How to make this?

1) Connect Controller 2 on the right port of your Prosystem Console.

2) After opening your 7800 Asteroids Cartridge, press Fire Button of Controller 2.

3) UP + Pause, DOWN + Pause, LEFT + Pause, and RIGHT + Pause.

4) If you do this correctly, the text "by Ethan and Greg" will appear.

Default KEYS on Keyboard for Prosystem Emulator Users:

* Controller 2: I (Up), K (Down), J (Left), L (Right), M & N (Fire Buttons).

* Pause: F4

Default KEYS on Keyboard for EMU7800 Users:

* Controller 2: Arrows to move, Z & X for Fire Buttons. Same scheme for Controller 1.

* F1 to enable Controller 1, and F2 to enable Controller 2.

* Pause: C (Color / Black & White TV Type).

Just to make sure, what are the difficulty settings? I'm assuming B-B (both difficulty buttons to the left).

Don't worry, Gorfy. Unless otherwise noted, let both difficulty switches on B position (Novice), which is Default on Prosystem Emulator / EMU7800. Just select the apropriate game mode (Intermediate in this case).

In 7800 Ikari Warriors, Difficulty Switches toggle background music (Ikari Warriors Theme). You could set difficulty switches to A (PRO) position to turn off background music.
