How compatible with the INTY is this really?

Recommended Posts

This auction title says Intellivision but his description doesn't include the INTY so I'm wondering if anyone knows what games work/won't work with this stick.

Since it only has two buttons I imagine the list of incompatible games may be pretty high?

I'm sure someone more hardware savvy than I will chime in, but I think I can definitely say that that joystick will NOT work in any way with an Intellivision. You could plug it into the Intellivision 2 or Sears model, but the signals from the INTY controller are very different than those from the Atari/C64/etc. controllers.

I think a cool product for the Intellivision would be a device that plugs into the INTV2 and 'translates' an Atari Joystick controller to 8 directions on the disc and the two 'fire' buttons.

Can we get that in a gatefold box please Willy? :-D

Not mine, but it does work well

I'm building an arcade stick out of Altera CPLD. Should be done in a couple of months.

Cool, thanks for the info. I've always wondered what a stick controller could do for some of the more frustrating games...

Search on Amazon and ebay for something called a stickler. It is a joystick adapter for your INTV disc directional pad, and works quite well.
