playazclub
Not sure if anybody was aware of this but this place which I bought a Star Wars/ESB 2 in 1 kit for my arcade is in the process of developing a "new" Colecovision model. Not sure how I feel about this since I see what the Flashback has done to Atari values but it would be nice none the less. I will say this about these guys at vector labs - when they do something, it's done right so I expect good things to come. http://www.vector-labs.com/index.html Edited June 4, 2013 by playazclub
Pixelboy
The ColecoVision link on their page (along with the other "console" links) lead to their home page. Until I see some harder evidence, I'm going to treat this as vaporware.
Manoau2002
Too bad there isn't more detailed information. With the popularity of retro gaming and cart collecting I think its only a matter of time before someone mass markets an atari 2600 clone. The retro duo ( nes/snes) seems to be reliatively popular on ebay and my local game shop sells them as well. If an atari 2600 clone takes off someone might be interested in mass marketing a colecovision or intellivision clone as well.
cimerians
I agree, I have always wondered why nobody has done a retro clone for Atari/Coleco/Intelly like many others do for NES\Sega.
Pixelboy
I just sent an e-mail to Vector Labs inviting them to post information about their CV project in this thread. Hopefully they will drop by soon and fill us in on the specs.

playazclub
Well, I know they are slow finish projects but when they do, they are top notch so I guess at this point, we'll wait and see. I just thought you all may find it interesting.
Pixelboy
I just got a reply from Vector Labs. Their ColecoVision project is not what we thought it was.: It is not a new Colecovision model, it is a JAMMA adapter so it can be played on a full size classic arcade game. Here is a link to the thread: http://forums.arcade...ad.php?t=247145 So that explains that.
Rik
Cool, but it would have been cool to have new 2600, CV and Intv consoles, from a durability stand point. Hey I'm just thankful for the interest expressed by these producers of classic gaming related software and hardware for us to enjoy, anything is better than nothing at all.
