TI Related -- Ebay / Heads Up Notice

this isn't ebay but I wanted to give some visibility to folks that don't hit the AA Marketplace thread often.

http://atariage.com/forums/topic/278274-fs-32k-ram-card-non-working-flex-interface-for-peb/

Pheonix has a 32k PEB card and a flex card that needs minor repair- he's asking $35 for the 32k card and $10 for the flex + shipping and fees.

I'm not in the position to buy them (which kills me, lol), but maybe someone needs some spare stuff and can help him out.

I was looking through eBay to find a replacement 9938 for my Geneve, I just burned out and in the process found this:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/CorComp-Double-Sided-Double-Density-Disk-Controller-Repair-IC-Kit/152785506426?hash=item2392b9d07a:g:NBAAAOSwkLhaDrRi

I then proceeded to ask this seller a question pertaining to the Pal chips:

Sir, are the two PAL12L6CN DIP X 2PCS, programmed? Do they have the correct Jedec files logic to operate as a Corcomp Double sided Double Density controller? I am interested if they are? Would also like to order a Yamaha 9938 video chip at the same time.

This was their reply:

the PAL12L6CN is empty,I don't have file available for program, I currently don't have 9938,only 9958 available

This is a pretty simple chip.

PAL12L6 : 12 inputs, 6 outputs

http://pdf1.alldatasheet.com/datasheet-pdf/view/126104/ETC1/PAL12L6CN.html

There is no feedback. (no flip-flop, register, memory etc.) So a simple scan of the 4K input combinations will reveal all the outputs. Reduce and recover the equations.

There appears to be one in this kit: https://www.ebay.com/itm/TI-TMS9900-TI-99-4A-Homebrew-DIY-Microcomputer-IC-Kit-A/172979903086?hash=item284667da6e:g:EUYAAOSw-KFXfO4T

The picture has a Yamaha V9938 chip. I don't know if that will work for you, but just throwing it out there.

Yes, I saw that about 30 minutes ago, am considering it. Only thing in the body of the description, he doesn't guarantee a 9938, states it could have a 9958 instead.

Isn't the 9938 here?

Yes and I ended up purchasing that one too. But last night after some chip testing and replacements and gritting my teeth, I got my Geneve to boot to the Swan. I had burned out alot of chips, but apparently not the 9938. This one, if good, will give me a spare to use in trying to add video to the 9900 board I am building from Stuart.

 Triple Tech 3-in-1 + speech synth and RS-232 un-mod'd PEB cards as a bundle. Condition unknown; not tested, but clean.

Hey guys, this is a damn good heads up from helocast! Triple Tech Cards never seem to come up as often as you want them too. It took me a whole year to get my paws on one (with endless gratitude to the late Gazoo).

Most people will not probably not need the 64K printer buffer these days, but the RTC is pretty slick and getting the speech in the box is a real plus.

I have an older blog entry showing a few of the programs that use it and couple of PDF files for it << HERE >>.

I miss not having the clock function in REMIND ME! Once I get my hands on the P-Box version of the TIPI all will be good in the (TI) world again.

I think I have a complete copy of TI Count somewhere around here. I am pretty sure it is up on WHT as well.

On the Exceltek Extended BASIC, it is just a third-party TI Extended BASIC cartridge, like the original version of Mechatronic Extended BASIC or the MicroPAL Extended BASIC. Each of them licensed it from TI, although the one from Exceltek is probably the rarest of the three.
