GameStop sales tactics - bait and switch

They started placing them on the actual inserts several years ago. So you're still stuck removing something at least up around here at the places I've been to in recent years.

I have a great way to deal with gamestop's HORRIBLE stickers all over the game cases....I throw them away and replace the with the crystal clear dvd cases I bought. I actually have replaced all of my modern games with these cases, even gamecube. They really make the collection shine! (all but my wii u games)

 

Where do you get these cases, and are they cheap? I suppose the little Gamecube disc hangs on there quite well? Unfortunately, most CD and DVD cases (what *very few* I can even see at retail once in a while) are all the "super slim" variety, which means something *totally* flimsy and inadequate to the point of dropping the disc in the floor when you open the case.

Hm. I haven't had them do this to me (yet), but now I know what to watch for when I pick up my Wii games. I've been making several forays down there on a monthly basis...I don't want to lose the case and manual I picked out for some crappy Gamestop version. Since I'm collecting, I want all my cases to be the original artwork and nearly-pristine game manuals.

 

Thanks for the heads up on this. I have yet to have them try to pull this on me.
