WizWor
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/cartesianco/the-ex1-rapid-3d-printing-of-circuit-boards The EX¹ makes printing circuits as quick and easy as printing a photo - allowing you to print on the material of your choice. What are the implications for Atari projects? Is this too expensive?
kskunk
Depends on the project. What did you have in mind? The biggest shortcoming for me is that it's no good for cartridges, or other edge connectors (PBI, etc). The silver/ink-like traces would scrape right off on the first insertion. For something like SIO2SD, it at least has a chance of working. But, the EX1 is best for testing new designs rapidly, without waiting. If the design is already done, and you just want to make some boards, it's cheaper to manufacture them the usual way. (But you have to wait a couple weeks.) - KS
Rybags
I think the aim is more at the proto/very low volume when talking traditional PCB types, and exotic materials for higher volumes. It could be useful though, think of stuff like those annoying ribbon cables that can lose their traces and possibly even keyboard mylar sheets. Kyle22
How about 1200/1400/1450 Keyboard mylar contact sheets? Seems like the perfect thing.
