S1500
Atari 2600 has one. Intellivision has one. Why not for ColecoVision? Don't you want to be one of the cool consoles? The retro gaming podcast curmudgeon has spoken.
Manoau2002
I imagine the reason there is no colecovision podcast is because there is a lack of interest /time/ knowhow in someone doing one. Are you planning on hosting it?
Pixelboy
What's a podcast? (I'm not being a wise guy, I actually don't know, and I've been too lazy up until now to investigate this!)

Are you planning on hosting it? I'm out of space on podomatic, and haven't ponied up cash for my podcast garden account, so I woudln't be able to. Also, I have nowhere near the expertise & subject matter knowledge as others on this subforum. I wouldn't do it justice.
+Rick Reynolds
I would definitely listen to a CV podcast! I'm interested in the platform, but know very little about it.

Its basically like a radio show. You pick a topic and discuss it.So they might talk about the homebrew releases that month.

It's like when you are a kid and get a tape recorder, you make silly radio shows. Butters did this in an ep of South park.

Manoau2002
Ah, so it's audio only. Thanks for the info. I think there are some video podcasts as well. Pat the nes punk does an audio/video cast with a local game shop owner that he posts on his youtube channel. I personally prefer youtube channels over podcasts but thats just my opinion.
Ikrananka
What would be cool would be interviews with some of the original designers/programmers. I'm into pinball in a big way and one of the pinball guys used to do podcasts interviewing game designers over the telephone. Listening to them is fascinating and as the game designers sadly pass away, the interviews become even more precious. Surely there must be some of the ColecoVision game designers that would be willing to be interviewed.

Ikrananka
Not rich - just lucky I guess My 3 machines are far from the most popular and so were all had for very reasonable prices.

Ikrananka
The one I want is Getaway High Speed This's the best machine I ever played! So fun!!! Never played it - but it does look like fun. Price wise it's around average for a mid-popularity machine, ~$2,500. Only a fraction of the price for a decent CV collection

The last machine I bought new and so that was by far the most expensive. I love having these at home - so much fun in the basement. I now want to build a MAME cab and once that is finished I'll be a very happy man
S1500
Only I can start a CV thread and have it drift into pinball. I get to see my just-purchased Vector tomorrow, which is at a friend's house.
thevnaguy
Trying to get motivated to do a podcast on the Colecovision . Absolutely love this system and is becoming my favorite since I picked mine up about a couple of months ago! Have several games for it and have been doing play videos
