Video
I want to build a joystic for my 5200. I've taken the controller appart and mapped out all the wires and circuts. But I want to know, how can I make the joystic? I want a standard Digital joystic, as I understand, most 5200 games are compatible with digital, but I can't find info on how to build the stick part without analog. Any help would be appreciated greatly. I know there was a thingy that was built for 5200 that would allow a 2600/7800 joystick to be used with it, but haven't found one. Dantaipan
Check the FAQ, section 6.3: http://www.atariage.com/5200/faq.html?SystemID=5200
Voltman3
Digital only ?! This works too. IMO http://personal.riverusers.com/~clghog/52h...digitaldiag.jpg But you can't use the 2600/7800 JS unless you modify them. Using an 8-way self-centering JS with both N.O. & N.C. contacts will do the job much better tho'. Later -
Video
Yeah, it'd have to be digital, I know where I can get digital parts. So I'll have to go with that, unless you have Idea's for analog sticks. I thought about using the stick off a PSX controller, since it's all there, but don't know if it'll work. I guess it wouldn't hurt to check it out. And it's self centering, so if it happened to work, I'd have a bunch of cheap sticks on old controllers I have laying around.
