Wickeycolumbus
I opened up my Burgertime cartridge and was surprised to see that the game is only 12K. There are two ROM chips on the board, a 23C64 (8K) and a 23C32 (4K). All the ROMs I have of it are 16K, is this because it was assumed to be 16K, or to make emulation easier (ie one configuration covers all types of E7 banking)? +Psionic
I can't answer your question, but looking at my own collection, I see quite a few ROMs that are larger than they should be. For one, why is the Oink! binary I have 16K? It's a 4K game, no? The only other 16K Activision ROMs I have are Commando, Double Dragon, Rampage, and River Raid II (which are as they should be), so I don't know what's going on with that one. Impaler_26
For one, why is the Oink! binary I have 16K? It's a 4K game, no?... It's probably an old overdump. You should grab Rom Hunter's V9.0 Collection, all the Oink! roms in it are 4K as they should be. http://www.atarimania.com/rom_collection_archive_atari_2600_roms.html

Serguei2
It's when Activision released collections of Atari 2600 games on pc. Activision's emulator seem to support 16k only. No wonder why there're tools to covert any games to 16k.
Nukey Shay
E7 banking supports 2k of ram (2k read addresses + 2k write addresses = 4k). Add to the 12k of rom and there ya go. Kevin's doc states that only Burgertime used this configuration of the E7 carts.
