+atari2600land
I learned miraculously on AtariAge (though most of the links of the 7800 are dead), that down is the blue wire. I did just about everything imaginable with the blue wire and nothing worked. So what can I do? Or should I just get a new controller? And if so, who has a spare one? fiddlepaddle
Too many questions. You sound down. I guess you blue it. Did you try the Hokey-pokey? Try another controller, even a 2600 one, or Genesis. Take the red pill.
Andromeda Stardust
dirty connectors, perhaps? Very rarely, left doesn't work on my 2600. Blowing in the 9-pin connector helps, if not that then I spray contact cleaner in it.
+save2600
Bad solder joint at the connector on the PCB probably.
