Methanoid
Nice video Galax... but for people who have got a "new" ST with zero floppies or software, I wonder if a pre-config image is available... What I am looking for is something with 14 x 511Mb (ie for an 8Gb card) that I can write on my PC and insert into an IDE to CF adapter on an STE.... Any ideas where I might find ?? galax
A 1Gb image of games is here: http://atari.8bitchip.info/DiskImgPP1.html You could copy the partitioning software onto that image once you have bought it (this is what I did, as I don't have a floppy drive on my current PC): http://atari.8bitchip.info/pphdr.php Sharing an image means sharing the bootloader that has been written and is still being supported by a very active Atari ST developer, so I'm not willing to do that. If you can afford an Ultrasatan you can afford 10 Euros to the developer. Edited April 14, 2015 by galax

How do I get the driver onto the ST with no FDD?

How do I get the driver onto the ST with no FDD? Did you get my reply in e-mail ? "When you order commercial driver, you get SW as ZIPped files, ST floppy image with files in, and short 15MB Flash card image for floppy less partitioning and driver install - where run it from Ramdisk D, as may see in youtube video." So, all you need is to unzip 15MB image, write it to SD card with USB card reader (with some SW, like http://atari.8bitchip.info/drimus.php Then put it in CF adapter and power on Atari . It will autoboot with opened logical drive D. Then may run partititoner and driver installer, even if no floppy connected to Atari.

Might seem obvious but I write that 15Mb image to my 8Gb CF card (or any card), then boot my Atari from it, then load the partitioner. Can I then swap the CF card (I'm not gonna be using USD) and partition a blank card or must I repartition the one I wrote the 15Mb image to? And I guess then I put the card back into a PC to transfer files to the card? Sure I read somewhere that only first partition is visible on a PC? Sorry if these are dumb questions! ParanoidLittleMan
You can swap card, after booting to Desktop from card with 15MB image written on. Windows is which sees only first partition. With Linux no such limit. But there are ways (SW and/or registry hack) to make all partitions accessible in Windowses too.
