Definitely feel bad for him as it looks like he straight up got lied to.  Overall, the console looks good and seems to be well put together.  But, when you straight up leave out features that a buyer has in writing that you are going to provide.  That is just plain dirty.  Hopefully the company behind this product helps to rectify the situation a bit, but definitely the lesson of 'buyer beware' applies here.

Annnnnd done... All seven #OMVS units wired and assembled. Shells got their initial base coats, so tomorrow will be all QA and painting
 
FWIW, all units are tested using an #OSSC with SCART and HD RetroVision cables with real carts, 161-in-1s and #NeoSD carts. #neogeo

I second that Ryan. Not particularly found of Indiegogo either. I like this project for sure.

 

But......did they get the idea from NeoTurfMasta recently and decided to make their own version? Hmmm.  :?: :|

 

Brian said if there's enough interest, he'll make them himself. Personally, I would rather buy his version.

Revisited an old CMVS #NeoGeo project of mine, the MicroMVS. It's a MV1B board, "sandwiched" together to make the cart vertical. 3D printing made this thing so much better this time around. #SNK

I checked this out the other day.  IMO this is a pretty good deal, although it would be nice for the producer's to iron out the issues that are still around from the V1, and reduce the number of hacked games too.

I have to say Ryan, I thought overall it's a good deal as well. Some of the quirks to be expected, not bad to try it out once to see for ourselves. :)

Yeah, I signed up on his list for this thing. It looks interesting, and I'm curious to see how much it will cost. I do often wonder if all of the cheap MVS hardware that comes out of China is fake, but with him, I trust that his stuff will be real. Too bad the NeoSaveMasta is so hard to get. It went on sale and sold out while I was asleep because of the time difference and I don't think he puts out any sort of advance notice, which makes it basically impossible for me to get one.

Maybe I can give a helping hand Steve, if another batch of the NeoSaveMasta comes out, I can try to hold on for one reserve and can mail it out for you if you like bro. :)

We aim to offer the same friendly feel as that site - where you can talk about Neo Geo, compete in high score challenges, play game tournaments or chat on our discord channel.

The forum is very new (just a few weeks) so some of these features are still under construction. We also hope to get many of the magazine scans, games manuals, and games reviews that were on the NG4L site up on the new one. Fortunately many of us (myself included) still have the old scans lurking on our old storage devices! Anyone is welcome to join, you don't even need to own a Neo Geo - you can just be interested in the system or indeed SNK itself. We talk about all games on there and even random things like food or tattoos

 

I do have a bit of background in Atari myself since I was an Atari Jaguar owner. I regret selling that now but particularly liked how many of the 3D games were the next step in evolution on from what you got on the ST and the Amiga. E.g. Iron Soldier, Cybermorph etc It always felt like most of the Playstation 3D games went a different route. Also this last few months I have been playing Atari 2600 and Lynx games on my Evercade. Adventure being a particular favourite. Classic!
