TheGameCollector Posted April 11, 2014 Share Posted April 11, 2014 Basically I am looking for a lower price range Atari 2600 system but I have some questions too: Which models are generally the cheapest to come by? My assumption is that the 2600 Jr. is most likely. I used to see these for $10 on ebay. 6 switches have always seemed to be the highest cost from $75-$100 most of the time. And I would assume the 4 switch are in between. I usually see those from $20-$50 depending on games/cords they are bundled with. 2600 Jr. might be smart also because it would save money on shipping by being lighter. 7800 won't be the best option for a while because it's pricier for being a whole other system on top of a 2600. As long as the system is tested and working that is fine. Controllers and cords are a plus, but I have third party options for those in case my best deal I find doesn't have them. I just picked up some loose carts at a thrift store last summer and still don't have a system to play them on.
