Lynx II cart question

I've found that many games that I've acquired from European sellers don't fit properly into my Lynx II if I insert them all the way; the games will only play if they're about half-way out of my unit. Conversely, all of my North American games must be inserted fully into the machines. I can't quite understand this, as all the carts must have a common source in Asia. Has anyone else encountered ths problem?

I have quite a few carts I picked up in The Netherlands, and then I have some mail ordered and delivered from the UK, and the rest are from the U.S. I have never noticed any difference you have mentioned.

Well I'm in the UK and have just orderd Battlezone and SuperSkweek from the US so I will post back here if I find a problem.

 

I would imagine they are all the same.

 

I paid $31 for battlezone (new) - was that too much?

Are you sure your European Lynx carts don't just need some cleaning? The only time I've seen that same problem is when the contacts are dirty. A simple cleaning of them usually does the trick.

Are you sure your European Lynx carts don't just need some cleaning? The only time I've seen that same problem is when the contacts are dirty. A simple cleaning of them usually does the trick.

 

Actually, that was the first thing that I did when I got them! Perhaps I didn't do a good enough job the first time, though -- I'd better do it again tonight. Thanks for the tip!
