vectrexroli
I just wanted to let you know that a new Everdrive flashcart is available, the Everdrive GB for the classic Gameboy and Gameboy Color. I made a quick review video. http://youtu.be/LWOHBsGjlEE

Troy No unfortunately I don´t know, but maybe it is a good idea to subscribe to the Everdrive support foum, that´s how I found out that http://shop.retrogate.com was getting one of the 1st deliveries and I ordered there immediately. But it is currently out oft stock there as well, so I guess many people want that flash cart currently.

vectrexroli
Got mine yesterday. Finally an awesome modern solution for GB/GBC Yes you are right, I wasted so much time with those older Gameboy flash carts just to have 1 to 6 games installed in the tiny memory. robotwo
Got mine yesterday. Finally an awesome modern solution for GB/GBC The way this one is handled is worse though from a developer standpoint, as you have to keep swapping SD cards back and forth every time you need to try a new version Then it's much better to just have a cart that's plugged directly into your PC by a USB cable and just having to transfer over a new version every time you got a new revision (like the GB 64M smartcard for example). But if you're going to just have a bunch of already finished ROMs I can totally see this being more fitting (especially since you can have multiple SD cards and exchange your ROM bank on the go). (PS. love your accent, Roli ... "fleshcart")

(PS. love your accent, Roli ... "fleshcart") Yes that´s true, the Everdrive is more optimized for end users I would say. My accent is horrible when I listen to myself during editing I am always "shocked", but unfortunately there is not much I can do about that as I have no gift for languages. I am always surprised that there are even people out there subscribing to my channel, so fortunately masochism seems to be a global phenomenon... Troy The first batch sold out within a week of release. Currently no one has them in stock.
roland p
Funny, now I read your posts with an accent too Nice video. I have the gb cart 64Mb. I could not finish Zelda Links Awakening with it. So maybe I'll get the Everdrive. The price is a bit steep though. +Gemintronic
Yep. Have the same 64mb flash cart I think. Switching banks of games is touchy and you only get ONE save. I don't know how many times I've had to restart Dragon Quest III because I accidentally overwrote the battery backed RAM by loading another game.. This flash cart sounds like a winner. +remowilliams
Will this work in a GBA? Sure does. I've also tested it in the Super Game Boy and the Game Boy player.

Atariboy
I don't see why it wouldn't, but does the Super Game Boy enhanced Space Invaders work correctly? As far as I know, that's the only SGB enhanced cartridge that contains a full Super Nintendo title that it switches to. vectrexroli
Will this work in a GBA? As remowillimas already said it works on a GBA, I show it on a GBA SP AGS-101, the one with the best display of all Gameboys in the video. Gameboyplayer, Supergameboy adapter also no problem. bomberpunk
I got one too from the preorder batch. I bought the cheapest GBC game on eBay (Cubix) just so i could toss out the ROM chip and use the shell. I shaved off a corner with the dremel so that the cart is compatible with an original Game Boy. the Everdrive is compatible all the way to the GBA SP, but not the GB Micro or the original DS & DS Lite. my setup is: Game Boy Classic A-L Game Boy Classic M-Z Game Boy Color A-L Game Boy Color M-Z Top 12 Classic Top 12 Color EDGB (save file folder that the os created)
robotwo
Why ruin a original GBC cart though instead of buying one of those pirate mold "GAME" carts cases? http://store.kitsch-bent.com/product/clear-plastic-circuit-cases (they already have the notch) Edited April 29, 2014 by robotwo
