Clock
If you look at the Pal cart it says on the label 'Use with paddle controllers' I always used joystick. Does it work with paddles? If it does, then it needs to be included in the 'Paddles Controller' section of the website. I can not test it as my Atari is put away while work is being done on my house. Osmeroid
Sorry, can't comment on the Pengo title - I DO like you're avatar though! Sid is a 'class' act
video game addict
That's got to be a mistake. Paddles only go left/right. You'd be a sitting penguin if that was the case. Then all the sno-bee's would get you. Of course it could use two paddles like Marble Craze... But I don't think so.
Clock
Yeah the avatar is quite cool, I suppose.... I will change it when I get bored with it. Back to the subject matter, I agree and Pengo needs to move in all directions, but it clearly says on the label, use paddle controllers. Please can someone test this and report back, as I am itching to find out. But won't get Atari set up to Monday or Tuesday at earliest. Godzilla
pengo is a joystick only game. is this an actual atari pengo or some strange pirate with a bad label? does it look like that ? http://www.atariage.com/cart_page.html?Sof...wareLabelID=

There are many 1988 releases that have the incorrect controller listed.
ATARIPITBULL
After reading your post Clock, I pulled out my, Pengo which is the NTSC type, but mine says use with Joystick. If your pal version says use with paddles, then I think your pal cart should be considered more rare the the correct version.
Clock
No, my Pal is a silver label similar to the NTSC one shown on AA but if you look at the Pal cart on AA with a Black label it clearly states use Paddle controls. I don't know how rare my Silver label pal cart is, but they are definatly very rare, I have only heard of 2 black labels and seen just my silver label cart in Pal format.
