Altirra multiple configuration

Hi,

 

This may be a noob question if I missed something in Altirra menu...

As a programmer, I am very often in Altirra to test my software in the emulator, before testing it on the real hardware.

This is a pleasure to use this WONDERFUL piece of software. Thanx to the author(s) !!!

But in Altirra, I need to have multiple configurations.

I want to test with MyIDE 2 firmware with a vhd with and without extended memory, then without the cartridge but booting a stock disk (mapped on D1), then with Ultimate 1MB, then etc...

Setting each configuration is tedious (especially MyIDE2 with vhd or Ultimate 1MB which needs to remove registry data to access again bios menu).

I wish I could set up a configuration, give it a name to save it and being able to select it later so all options are restored (kind of Atari, memory size, cartridge, firmware, hard disk,...)

I did not find this option in Altirra.

Am I the only one needing this option ?

I wonder if rename-able ini files would work for this. I have not tried it because I just cycle through the Ultimate and IDE Plus configurations..

Actually I think this would be kind of useful, especially since the HDD requires a complete new configuration every time it's deactivated/reactivated.
