+xucaen
I was thinking about homebrew and how we might be able to release new games on cartridge. Since a lot of games are rare, I don't think recycling used cartridges is a viable way of releasing new games on cartridge as is done for the 2600. I am researching to find a way to craft new cartridge shells from molds. Has anyone ever done that before? edited for clarity.

Felyx
You don't have to dismantle Jag cartridges as it is still possible today to find empty Jag shells. Right now you can find 4 shells for $12 + shipping on eBay and I suppose you can find better deal out of eBay. You already find by yourself the alternative solution: casting your own shells by using resin and a mold made of silicon but that will eventually cost you far more than buyng existing one made of plastic. Possibly 3D printing or other quick prototyping methods would probably all cost you more as well. Maybe you can contact Super Fighter Team (http://www.zaku-lynx.com/)to]http://www.zaku-lynx.com/)to ask about their experience as they did release a game with an exclusive plastic shell molded to look similar to the original ones released by Atari.[/url] Now, a Lynx cartridge shell is far smaller than a Jag one so don't expect miracles: what has been possible for the Lynx won't says it would be for the Jag in term or reasonably unit cost.
