Mini Toggle Switch Nut

Recommended Posts

I have two mini toggle switches on the side of my 1200xl that control various things. However one of the switches appears to have lost its nut that holds it in place. Where can I get a replacement nut for this and generally what size am I looking for? These switches are pretty tiny.

Often the switches come with two nuts, one of which is used on the inside of the case to limit how far the switch protrudes on the outside, thus if the second nut is there and all else fails just pack out the inside with washers and use the second nut on the outside.

You might find http://www.farnell.com/datasheets/1707703.pdf useful as it could give you an indication of a manufactures part number to search for if you can find what appears to be a match. You are probably looking for something like the C&K part number 700201201 which is listed in Farnell as being 1/4" x 40 UNS (Possibly UNF as I have not heard of UNS).

Yeah, like those.

When I went to Home Depot I couldn't find anything that was 1/4" x 40. The best I found was 1/4" x 20" which looked too big.
