K.Michael
Hello all, been lurking for a while and am really interested into getting into the Atari 2600. I've been bidding on ebay but have been outbid each time, most consoles seem to go for sale with a bunch of games and end up selling for much more than a lowly minimum-wage full-time student like myself can afford What I'd really like is an Atari 2600 Woodgrain (because they look like something from the bridge of the Starship Enterprise which is crazy cool) I would like it to be PAL, and needs to have colour, not too fussed about whether it is a 6 or 4 switcher, but do not want a Sears model. Controllers not needed, but it will need the power supply and cables to hook up to the TV and what-not. I would be happy to pay a little extra for certain games (such as River Raid or Pitfall) but would also be happy to buy just the console and the parts it needs to play. So yeah, any Australians out there with too many Ataris that want to talk? Edited July 9, 2014 by K.Michael
Rybags
I have a spare jr but probably no power supply and the 2 tabs that operate the cartridge interlock door are missing (a fix could be to just fashion a couple more and glue on). I'd let it go for $20 + postage. I'm in ACT.
K.Michael
Thanks for the offer Rybags, but I've never been a fan of the jr's look and have a real hankering for the woodgrain Would anyone happen to know if the Flashback's remotes plug into the original 2600s? BalloonFighter
To answer your question, the controllers that come with the Atari Flashback 2, 2+, and 3 will work fine with original Atari hardware, and vice versa.

BalloonFighter
No problem. Also, welcome to the AtariAge forums, it's an awesome community! Good luck in finding a 2600, you won't regret it!
nofrills100
Welcome. To be honest you should just hang out for the opportunity to get one cheap on ebay. Of course the wood grain demands slightly higher prices, but you'll find one without games soon enough. Look also at other local online classifieds like gumtree. Good luck.
K.Michael
Thanks River Patroller, just wish our Country was a little bit closer to the US so shipping didn't cost so much
nofrills100
Thanks River Patroller, just wish our Country was a little bit closer to the US so shipping didn't cost so much There's pros and cons about the distance. It also holds back the yanks and euros from buying all the treasures in our markets
