high voltage
I need to buy Atari VCS games, and so I am thinking of selling Gorf, blue DVD case edition but with original poster. The posters were only included with the white DVD case, but some found its way to the blue DVD case, which makes it kinda rarer. Apparently, some posters were left over and packed with the blue DVD box. There's a topic about it here in Jag forum. $800, free worldwide shipping. Case in excellent condition, CD in excellent condition, instructions have the usual flaking at the fold, happens to all Gorf instructions, Poster is in excellent condition. kevincal
The special edition white case is not worth anywhere near 800.......... Blue case edition is worth $400 at the most, white case $600 at the most.
Zerosquare
Great, that's slightly cheaper than an actual Gorf arcade cabinet.

Austin
Uh, I spent $375 for my cab. It probably costs a lot more to obtain one in France, versus the USA.
racerx
It probably costs a lot more to obtain one in France, versus the USA. Ah, likely true. Didn't think of that. At any rate, I'm not the price police but I was hoping the $800 was a typo.

racerx
LOL, the special releases are also numbered, Mr. Smartypants.
+LS650
I guess it's worth what someone is willing to pay for it: $100, $800, whatever. Personally I would not pay a 3-digit price for a copy of Gorf, but I imagine there are some people who would.

Hyper_Eye
That's about $760 more than I'd like to pay for it.

racerx
Good luck. I'm calling $275.
SuperDork3000
Anyone willing to pay more than $50 for this needs to have their head examined.
Hyper_Eye
Generally when someone comes in here to sell an item I assume they want to sell to an actual Jaguar enthusiast and that they aren't looking to scalp them. I don't know why you posted it in here thinking someone would seriously consider paying that ridiculous price. Ebay is exactly what you want. You might get lucky and some idiot will pay quite a bit more than it is worth but I think the price you are asking is a long shot. Pretty much everyone here will see it though as we all keep tabs on the Jaguar related eBay auctions. I'd say good luck but I think it will be a sad state if that Gorf sells for 50% of what you are asking.
Rick Dangerous
It just went for like 220 on eBay. 800? What are you smoking?
Austin
OK just weirdos replying here, off to ebay it goes. Not wanting to pay $800 for a piece of plastic makes us weird. Gotcha.
kevincal
$800 for a new Battlesphere or BS: Gold maybe. But not a used Gorf. $400 if you are super lucky. Someone might pay $400 buy it now eventually. If auctioned, probably $250-$350.
+CyranoJ
Those cheap CD-R's from that time era won't last much longer. This is hardly an investment.
+LS650
Not to mention the fact that the number of collectors who have a working JagCD, don't already have a copy of Gorf, AND are willing to pay $800 for it is a relatively small number. NeoGeoNinja
That's about $760 more than I'd like to pay for it. It's $200 less than I'd like to pay for it. I'll have to wait for it to go up in price before I'm willing to buy it. The more ridiculous and unrealistic the price, the better...
Andromeda Stardust
Those cheap CD-R's from that time era won't last much longer. This is hardly an investment. I have CD-Rs I burned in 1999 on a 4x burner that still read fine.
CPUWIZ
I have CD-Rs I burned in 1999 on a 4x burner that still read fine. But is it a 64bit CD-R? I think the promised data retention, that was given at the time, was 10 years. Anything beyond that is pure manufacturer win (E.G. TDK, HP, Sony, whatever) and stress (burned, but not used a lot).
Andromeda Stardust
I also have some DVD-Rs from 2005 (unused) that fail burn verification almost every time. Rolls dice...
Orion_
Gorf is included along with other homebrew games such as painter, jagmania and jagtris, in the BJL rom I soldered in my Jaguar, so no need of cd or cartridge, it's built in =) It seems that gorf and painter was public domain back then, so you can find them easily on the internet.
