Room 34
You know, the ultimate, bitter irony here is that Tod Frye (no offense) cranked out a lame piece of crap and got a million-dollar check for it, but Warren Robinett created a revolutionary work of genius ("Adventure") and only got paid his $22,000 annual salary. Ah, but at least Robinett got revenge by being the first Atari programmer to put his name in a game.

DeV0
Crackman -- why? You need to be on something serious to enjoy it for more than a minute. Slackman --- why? Explains the effort put into it

MegaManFan
I just had a great idea: Strip a POS Pac-Man that still works clean, and apply a new label with a picture of a red hot Ferrari to the front. The end label can read "What This Paid For."
ZylonBane
I always thought Maze Muncher or Ghost Gobbler was appropriate... But only in a boring, missing-the-spirit-of-the-thread way.

NE146
sorta off-topic-ish.. but did you guys ever see that hack of arcade Puckman into 2600 pacman? ..Playable in Mame:
Scooterb23
a little off topic too, but Zylon, do you always have to be a prick?
ZylonBane
sorta off-topic-ish.. but did you guys ever see that hack of arcade Puckman into 2600 pacman? ..Playable in Mame: Woah! Where'd you snag that? For a while I've been thinking of making a "If Tod Frye had been given 8K" mockup of PacMan, and this pretty much looks exactly like what I had in mind. NE146
Woah! Where'd you snag that? Why here you go (see attached) Rename it to "puckman.zip" and play it in mame. You'll get some crc error warnings but it should work fine once you get past that. Jerky's arcade hacks were the place to get all these cool roms.. but he closed shop a while ago. They still work but sometimes you gotta tweak them or add a couple of files in them since mame has changed so much since then: http://www.fraggersxtreme.com/~jerky/ pac2600.zip
Vic George 2K3
There's MisfitMAME, which was specifically programmed to play arcade game hacks. (Anyone for Donkey Kong 2600? LOL)
