Blazing Lazers
A boxed Halcyon with the computer component and both games just sold for $10,000: http://www.ebay.com/itm/RDI-HALCYON-Rarest-Ultra-Rare-Vintage-Video-Game-Console-System-/121423693278?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2047675.l2557&nma=true&si=q8JvMVV8h7jY1UNSv%252BhUHuWWIrM%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc

SoulBlazer
That system is THE holy grail of holy grails. No one knows how many is out there, but it's wicked low. I've seen estimates ranging from 6-20, and only about 3-4 are confirmed in collector's hands.
Atari_Bill
The buyers code looks familiar. I think I know who it might be. If so, the cost doesn't mean much to him.
TPA5
First time I've ever seen an item on eBay correctly labeled "rare". Congrats to the winner, that's a heck of a system, I'd love to see one in person.
Zap!
Surprised it sold for on 10k.
bojay1997
Surprised it sold for on 10k. It's non-working, not in the best shape and the seller did almost nothing to promote the auction. I think he could have gotten significantly more, but $10K is still a record since the last complete one sold for $3500 on Ebay six years ago. Crazy Climber
Didnt this system have a dragons lair style game, thayers quest? Or something like that, made by the man himself Don Bluth? Is it an exclusive? I remember hearing about itlike 15 years ago, also had a mon night football game?

Is it an exclusive? I remember hearing about itlike 15 years ago, also had a mon night football game? Don Bluth had nothing to do with Thayer's Quest. The two "released" games are Thayer's Quest and NFL Football Chargers Raiders which are both essentially Dragon's Lair style games (i.e. you make a choice and footage plays). SoulBlazer
And Thayers Quest was released on other systems....I've personaly played the 3DO version, but it was also released for the PC, and there could be other systems. It's not a bad game, but not as good as Dragon's Lair. It's actually the first part of a triliogy....the second game got released for some reason (can't recall the name now) but the third, as far as I know, never got made. As for the NFL Football game, I'd LOVE to know how the gameplay actually is, but I've never seen pictures or video of the game besides the video clips -- that is, how do you actually play it? I'm guessing it shows a 'status screen' of the game time, the yard and down, the plays you can pick from, etc., similar to how Madden looked in the 90's. The gimmick was that when you selected the play it would decide the result and show you a clip taken from three seasons of Charges vs Raiders games (six total, since they played twice a year). Would have been pretty cool back in the day, but the limited gameplay and the fact you can only pick one of those two teams makes it very 'meh'. So nothing special with these two games. Crazy Climber
Ah, I thought Bluth was in on it. Thought also that was why its so sought after. Now I dont know why, other than rarity/obscurity. Interesting
