Phil
Today, I got a 4-port 5200 from a friend of mine who was going to throw it away. I got the system, 2 joysticks, the switch box, and 3 games, but no power supply. What are the specs of the power adapter, and is there one I can buy from Radio Shack, or do I need a special one? --Phil
+Mitch
From the 5200 FAQ: quote: Power Supply: 4-Port: 11.5VDC @ 1.95A 2-Port: 9.3VDC @ 1.95A Note: You can ignore the power supply specifications. Both the 4-port and 2-port power supplies are functionally identical. As long as it's part #C018187, it will power either flavor 5200. Have trust in the console's voltage regulators to take care of things. Mitch http://atari7800.atari.org
TunnelRunner
quote: Originally posted by Mitch: From the 5200 FAQ: Mitch http://atari7800.atari.org I've found the voltage varies from 10 to 15 VDC regardless of which model. Trust in the VRs, even though they get warmer with higher voltage supplies.
