cimerians
Damn...I imagined something like this as kid in 1983. If this comes out I'll be trying it out. Wow. Dreams come true. Somehow I imagine all these older guys like me waiting in line to try it out. Wonder how much it costs.
NE146
Nice.. and like Cimerians, this is pretty much how I always imagined it could potentially be since "Star Fire" in 1979 For the record.. this was Star Fire (forget about Mame for this game.. doesn't have the sound) "> " type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"> Edited October 9, 2014 by NE146
Gregory DG
Has it got some kind of wrap-around screen? Looks awesome... Hopefully they'll make more than 10 of them and I'll be able to find one... Hmm... Maybe at Disney World somewhere. DisneyQuest would be a good place for it!
Shawn
Fuck me gently! This is AMAZING!!! EDIT: Any idea on a price for this machine??
Reaperman
I want one. If there's not a PC port, maybe in 10 years or so I'll be able to afford the cab.
omegadot
I used to play a flight game at a local mini-golf place with a neat ship contraption on hydraulics that moved around in front of the screen. It was great. This looks like a lot of fun.
Flojomojo
This does look great. It's a combo of two of my favorite things: Star Wars and arcade games. I was so bummed that Sega made the last two big arcade releases so very un-fun. Pessimist: it's probably really shallow, and expensive to play. I don't know where I'm going to be able to play it, if anywhere. The Dave & Busters in my area closed down earlier this year. Optimist: Star Wars! In the arcade! And even if there's no home version of it anytime soon, Star Wars is back in the game!
Greg2600
Love to try it out, definitely gives the impression of an immersive experience.
AtariLeaf
I'd play that for a quarter! Doubt it's a quarter though, maybe a couple dozen quarters.
+slx
Looks great and honestly, who needs 'depth of story' in an Arcade shooter? [emoji12]
Hydro Thunder
Pessimist: Namco makes _really_ shallow and outright unfun arcade games at this point. I really hated Starfox Assault and wanted to love it. And as for Star Fire above, screw the soundless Mame version, get the 2600 Homebrew. Rybags
Looks like it might be a good game... so long as it's not too much "on rails" and allows a bit of freedom in the order of battle.
moycon
So AWESOME!!! There are a couple places around here that might carry something like this. Dave & Busters or Brunswick Zone XL (formally US Play) I'll have to give them a call, if they had it I'd for sure go check it out. I rarely go to either of those places. Just way too expensive for my tastes. I game like this would probably would cost like $5-$10 to play. Still I'd have to give it a try. Just so amazing looking.
Metal Ghost
I haven't been able to see anything yet re: availability. I'm really hoping that our Dave and Busters in Syracuse gets this!! Either way, I'll have to search this out. I'd almost be willing to wager that Disney Quest will be getting this, and we get to Orlando relatively often. This would be at the top of my list!
