middle pages of a thread

Is there any way to jump to the middle pages of a thread instead of going one page at a time?

Yes, if you click on the "Page 1 of 25" text, the forum will prompt you for a specific page number to jump to. You can then decide what page in the thread you wish to view.

Nice. I did not know you could do that. This will save time. I don't know why I never hovered my cursor over the text.....

I remember there being a long debate about this on the Invision forums. In the end, for reasons I cannot remember, they decided to simply "reveal" the hidden "open" button when you hovered, but to only show the first/last post if you then clicked on the button.

 

So, they are testing their 4.0 software (which was basically rewritten from the ground up), and it looks like they are now displaying a popup when you hover over a topic title):
